I've taken up jogging and my abdominals are terrifically sore. That's not from the jogging though, that's from the sit ups, which I have also taken up. I want to look good and feel better. I sometimes think that the anxiety I suffer from could be cured by having a better diet and more exercise. It's worth a try anyway. I'm trying to get my wife to ( Read more... )

Hey Daryle,
Sorry I haven't kept in touch very well. I'm back from overseas now, so I should be on here more often. I have to run now but wanted to say I have been praying for you, and would still love to talk about discipleship stuff. Maybe we could just chat about questions you have or things God's been teaching you, or a book or the Bible or something. Let me know! God bless.

On the one hand, I am at the whim of an apparently arbitrary God who can lead someone to think they are saved at one moment, then take it away for no discernable reason. On the other, I am a sinner who has been saved, but has lost sight of it and is wandering the wide easy road to hell, in which case I need to just turn around and go back. Except it's not as easy as that because I don't know which was is out of the desert ( ... )

Haha, posters with kittens hanging off tree branches. I know exactly what you mean! I'm sorry I haven't replied sooner; I actually didn't see this post until now. Well, thanks for your honesty. I'll offer what I have, but don't take it as irrevocable truth. My thoughts are based first of all on the Word of God, because that is the only unchanging thing, and secondly on my own experiences and what God has taught me. I haven't had a wide variety of life experiences, but I've had great mentors who have taught me and helped me grow, and I've always been one to stubbornly try to figure things out on my own first. There’s been tons of books written on your questions, so I may not give you completely satisfactory answers, but I am praying that the Holy Spirit will at least help me shed some light on a few things ( ... )
