... Then what is it about?

It's about a transgender man that has been living as a woman for years now and wants to completely become a woman by doing an operation "down there". Before he can do that though, his/her psychologist advices him/her to talk to his son he just recently found out he had. Once meeting his son in new york, the both of them take a road trip back to California and discover many things about themselves.

I LOVED Transamerica! It was very passionate and emotional, and it kept my interest the entire time. And I would watch it LONG before I'd watch Brokeback Mountain again. And Aaron bought Brokeback Mountain...

Ahem, i guess Brokeback wasn't that bad. I just didn't see what all the hype was about and i truly disliked the characters.

I thought it was insanely boring. There were parts that were cute, but not many. Really the entire plot of the movie could have been condensed to about 20 minutes and nothing would have been lost. They were gay, but married to women, and would sneak off to see each other. The end.
