So the promotion has pretty much backfired. Yes I am doing something I enjoy more than I did before but, now I am dead center in the store in prime viewing location of the executives who randomly walk the floor. These people want more from me. I only just got the gig and they are talking about my training a replacement so they can move me on to

Seriously, never sell yourself short. Apply for jobs you don't think you'd get in a million years. Who the hell cares? It's not even the price of a stamp anymore. You can find better if you want it.
