Omigosh, am I out of the loop this semester! This freakin' thing snuck up on me. I did want to extend a special invitation to you guys. It was so great to have you there at the salon talk, and hopefully this is close enough to Thanksgiving that folks will be able to enjoy a few hours away from the grading

Even I don't care about the $8 cover charge, and I'm in the midst of a dire financial crisis. You are worth at least $10! (I joke of course; you are priceless).

By the way, I saw this post and thought, "Ohmygosh, there goes disoriented Anna Mae, sending us to a pub in the West Village after her talk at the tip of Manhattan," but turns out you are right. That place looks awesome. It might become Val's local. People should note that it is The Whitehorse Tavern, not Dylan's touristy death pub, The White Horse Tavern.

I know--my navigating skills are not to be trusted! Really, that's the only way I get my exercise these days--aimless and anxious rambling because I don't know where the hell I'm going.

But this, I think, I've got right--or so says google maps. It's a cool/dive $5 hamburger joint that will likely have depressed financial types hanging around. Or maybe not so depressed. Those fuckers are the only ones doing well, after all.
