I miss you all! Does anyone have any time this week? I'm in the city for taxes on Tuesday (I'm supposed to return home, but can probably get Mr. C to relieve the babysitter). Or maybe Friday? Or is everyone super-swamped/busy/travelling?

It sounds like a bit later would work for several of our frolickers--does it cause problems for anyone else?

If we enrolled him now, until the end of June, it would cost over $13K. The only one that's reasonable is super-scary conservative Catholic and even they are teaching half the week in French.

Well, this morning was a throw-down. Poor guy was just exhausted, and the trek to school is more arduous than at home (where, many mornings I drive him in a nice heated car door to door) Here it's a 10-15 minute walk at 7:45 to a crowded tram. LG was actually depressed this morning--I've never seen the likes of it. He just sat there, big circles under his eyes, with tears slowly falling down. He was too sad to even talk about why he was sad. Really what's to talk about? 

Self, listen to your instincts. I never really wanted to do this. But, you know, living in Europe is one of those things everyone says you're supposed to want. I've got LG's little cousin with us for two days. Wow. How do people do this! 48 hours on two kids nonstop and my job seems like a daydream cooked up by Betty Draper who got a little too liberal with the Valium and the whiskey sours.
