A pack of wolves has moved near a nearby town, about twenty miles from Lewistown. The Garfield/McCone area of Stanford, Montana... Its a sad thing that most of that population are ranchers... and very idiotic ones... A news article was in the paper today about the ranchers trying to hire a hunter who was involved in the Alaska wolf slaughter...

Rally if you can, put a distress call into the DOW, contact them via their website and post about it in local area website blogs.

I wishi I could find the article in the News Argus site that way I could cut and paste it here, but I know where I can get the late copy... I will post it on the other webrings, most likely tomorrow. But I did contact the DOW.

If the ranchers are worried about their livestock, the obvious solution is chain link fencing. I never know why the anti fox lot over here don't think of such simple preventative measures. Perhaps because it takes their excuse away.
