I had the same problem for a while. Check to make sure the fan is working, and there are no holes in any of the hoses. Also check to make sure the water pump shaft hasn't come loose, and it's really doing anything. Check the seal on the water pump while you're at it.
yeah that's what i was thinking. If you have a clutch type fan and not an electric one, you may need to replace the fan and clutch. that happened on an older buick that I had. Other than that and the water pump possibly being bad, you might have a clogged radiator.
Sorry to hear that you're not coming down. :( We were looking forward to it.
people at work knew I was going down there to look for a job and said they were glad my car broke down so I couldn't find another job. I didn't know whether to be offended or pleased.
and the problem worked itself out overnight. it was magic. a little fixer fairy came. he's a gay greaser.
when i woke up this morning, the overflow tank was dry so i put water in it and it did fine after that. I drove it around for about a hour with no problems. it must have been a pocket of air that couldn't work out because the engine couldn't cool off. I let it sit over night, so it could cool.
