So LJ, where do I go from here? I feel much better about life; I'm calmer now that I understand where things stand (and they stand on very solid ground I can live with). So now, time for something... fun. I wonder if I can find a bike ride that will wind up in drinks and debauchery...

although, at least if nothing else I discovered that I really like to ride bikes. I think if I had the stress vent that it is from the start, I would have been OK. For real. Yes, I do comprehend how ridiculous a statement that is.

It's another beautiful day for Critical Mass. We're at gasworks on top of the kite hill, and the evening is beautiful and communal and I cannot think of anything in this city these days I look forward to more than this.

I haven't had time to post lately. I'll probably work close to 24 hours in the next two days. But I'm doing well with moving in, and thought it would be best to show off my liquor cabinet by way of introduction. When the rest is more settled I'll do a full LJ walkthrough! Yay!

So I'm working on an endorsement application for a candidate, and on the guy's website he actually has written "Children are our greatest resource". There is lively conversation all around me but I'm very content to sit and enjoy this Herman-Miller Eames recliner. I want one for my living room although they never come cheap. I keep watching videos of Obama's St. Paul speech when he clinched the nomination, and while we all know it's an absolutely stunning display of oratory and rhetorical skill, I am still, three times in, getting choked up and nearly crying at the sheer amazement of the fact that, as far as I'm concerned with the lay of the land as it now stands, ( Read more... )
