Though I am now a part of the media (working for the local paper), I agree wholeheartedly.
It's tiring. It really is.
And, almost without fail, is sucks almost as much to write the human interest stories as it does to read or listen to them.
What truly amazes me is that I still know people who think human beings, or at least women, are inherently good.

Heh. I speak from experience when I say that women are most certainly NOT inherently good. We're not any worse than men, but we're definitely not any better. Oy.
