[In the early afternoon, a small creature makes its way out of the forest. It holds the journal in its teeth; the book drags along the ground, making the little thing stop occasionally.
[The vibrant colors of Corrine's tail instantly catch Yuan's eye and once he's approached the creature enough to get a closer look, he recognizes it as Sheena's pet spirit. Considering it's appeared in Luceti before, he shouldn't be surprised to see it, but isn't it a little early for New Feathers? Then again, pets seem to arrive completely at random. The thought that it might be someone else in Corrine's body really doesn't cross his mind.
He kneels down beside the little spirit to examine its injuries. It seems to be in a horrible state.]
[Too tired and breathing to hard to lift its head and acknowledge him. The spirit is lying on its injured back leg, but there's a long, jagged cut along the visible side, too. And it is wearing Sheena's (now very tiny) violet wings]
[Pascal is out for a wander when she notices the bright colours of Corrine against the dark tones of the bridge. As she bounds over to get a better peek, her look of curiosity turns to horror as she notices the state the little creature is in.]
Wh-wh-wh-whaaaaa?! Are you all right? Hang in there, small fox thingy!
[ A few hours later, Raine is letting the "fox spirit" rest in her room for a little while to use the time to recover from her exhaustion after the majority of her injuries have been treated, and made her a place to rest as comfortably as possible. She's not in there watching the entire time, but has left Sheena's journal near her just in case she's not present when she awakens and needs something. In any case, she'll definitely be back inside after dinner.]
[When Sheena wakes up enough to notice the journal, she doesn't feel like she has the energy to direct anything about it. It will be easier to just wait, at least for as long as she can.
This is embarrassing and strange enough as it is. So, she won't call for Raine, waiting until after dinner.]
[Later, and once Raine returned with Sheena and told her of the situation, Presea had taken to tending to the small animal. She'd never had a pet before, but Presea always was better at taking care of and dealing with animals than people. It was also easier to help them heal somewhat.
For now, Presea had prepared a small bed for Sheena, out of a cardboard box lined with a few towels, a small blanket, and a pillow. It wasn't wise to place her at a greater height just yet, with her wounds, so this would be ideal. Presea even cut a hole in one side of the box so Sheena wouldn't have to climb to get out.
Even as she was getting water for the little animal, and setting it down beside her, Sheena tried desperately to file through her memory for just what kind of creature Sheena had become, but came up with nothing.]
[and Sheena hasn't woken up since Raine brought her home. If she had, she would've been a little indignant about the box. Despite what it looks like she is not a small animal, after all.
But she's not awake still, so that hasn't come up yet.]
[Presea's quiet even after she sets the dish of water next to Sheena'a box, watching her rest. She really did look bad, but whatever species of animal she was - Presea still did not know - she was very...cute. Presea reaches out and brushes her hand down Sheena's back, petting her.
She was soft, and her fur was very smooth. ...Did she have paw pads, too? Hm...]
[she doesn't look nearly as bad now as she had before Raine healed her and she had some rest. Now it was just a matter of getting enough energy back to feel like herself.
...As 'herself' as she can feel, in a little fox-spirit body. She doesn't react to the petting just yet. And she does have paw pads, small ones.]

[Pascal waves around her staff and casts the only healing spell she knows. It's weak but hopefully will cure the worst of those injuries.]

The little fox curls up sort of tighter, recognizing a healing spell, and someone trying to help.]
Thanks.
