I'm not going to touch the Hamas thing. I'm going to assume someone else will. I do want to way in on the teaching of intelligent design though

If the USA is so keen on establishing democracies around the world, we need to support the outcome of their elections and not fall into "parent" mode when the election puts the "wrong" people into power. Too bad, USA - when you give people freedom of choice, this is what they choose, move on

I like you guys' thinking. Here's the thing: our schools NEED to teach critical analysis anyway. It's actually part of the curriculum in many subjects. You can't do a history or an english paper any more without listing your sources, and you can't list sources without critically thinking about whether the sources are valid. In the same way, science classes should be (and are) teaching critical analysis of scientific principles. Certainly the theory of evolution is grounded in facts and data, that's why it's taught. But that doesn't mean students shouldn't be asked to prove (or disprove) evolution themselves with their own analysis. It's all around us. Honestly, creationists would probably be MORE screwed if we taught critical analysis of evolution in schools, because you'd have more kids that were adamantly evolutionist based on the fact that they figured it out on their own

I wasn't aware that Brugge had had that idea. I have to say ultimately, I'm somewhat opposed to it based on the fact that you can update only once a week even in daily update leagues if you so desire by just advancing the days on the league and planning your lineup accordingly. However, just join the league and we'll debate it on the boards. Draft isn't till March 29th now, so we have some time before we have to ultimately decide on format.
