My shower wants me dead

So, I moved into a new apartment this summer. It's just a sublet, we're moving out by August. And thank god too because I think my shower wants me dead. Let me describe this shower. Mike, I also have a 3 knob shower. Perhaps our showers are related. Anyway, I have been where you are now, waking up every morning wondering if it might just be better to smell then endure the wretched hot/cold game once more. But I come to offer you words of hope. You will manage to master the shower, and then you will know that you are a truly superior being. I think it only took me about 3 weeks. Good luck.

I had the three knob shower in both of my DC apartments. I think it's actually pretty common. I've seen much, much weirder methods. It's not that hard to master really. And the key to not freezing/scalding when you turn off the water is to turn the middle knob (which I'm sure is the knob that changes from tub to shower) first, so that when you're turning off the other knobs, it doesn't matter which you do first (or just do both at the same time) because the water isn't spraying on you.

ahh, see, I tried that. but our shower doesn't drain that well, so it starts to accumulate at my feet, scalding or freezing them
