How do you tell someone that you love them as a reflection of God, that you think of them as your guru?

in my experience, you don't, or their ego will get more inflated than it probably already is...

I don't care about the state of his ego, what he does with my words is his responsibility. But I don't want to say it in those words, still, because I don't want it to be an ego stroke, that's not the intent, and saying so in those words misses the point. I don't know what the point is, that's what I've got to spend some time with.

Yup. I've talked about him before, as the man I was seeing, now he's my boyfriend. Spent the day with him, had a conflict come up and I started to freeze up and worry, but we resolved it, which is the most comforting thing: re-affirming our values in the relationship, clarifying, and finding a solution. Really in that moment I just need to be reassured that everything is okay between us, which he did beautifully. Hoorayyyyy!
