No change with Zoe yet (still seizing a few times per day). I'm back at work for the first time today, thanks to the team of Grandparents doing a rotating schedule to watch her for now (my mom has her today). Waiting out the weekend with Zoe. She's not seizure free, but I'd estimate they're a bit lighter than normal for the past 48 hours. Assuming that the higher dose of Keppra is the reason, but at this point I make no assumptions. It could be any variation we've made. The introduction of B6. The PET Scan results came back negative. It revealed nothing. Looked totally normal. Doctors are shocked. And so, there is still no explanation and nothing we can do other than keep medicating, which isn't really helping anymore. We're upping levels, but even level increases never work for longer than a 1/2 day anymore ( Read more... )

Brought Zoe home yesterday afternoon because the addition of the new drug, Keppra, appeared to be working. She hadn't seized since starting it. But last night we saw one in her eyes. This morning I think I've seen two, again, only really in her eyes. No physical seizing. (This is hard to describe, but it's just as horrifying as a physical ( Read more... )

Still at the hospital - we will be until at least Monday - much longer if the seizures do not stop. She's had a few seizures since checking in (a little more mild - mostly just in the eyes - but still definitely happening), so they're now adding a new medication. She was strictly on Phenobarbitol (this is the primary drug for seizures, ( Read more... )
