Last week, I realized that the very next journal entry I would make would be my 1000th ever and of course, being a moron that makes meaning out of round numbers, I decided that it had to be something special. Sam, in her cold-induced wisdom (she's been deathly ill for a week now), suggested that I finally post my photos from Ireland. And of course ( Read more... )

Nice pics.
Was the hippo swimming in a moat around one of the castles?

On sunday at the rollerderby there was a guy who would draw your portrait as a zombie for $20.

The hippo was hiding in a moat in the Dublin zoo; which is like a castle but for kids.

Did you get the zombie photo? WHY NOT?!?

It's a gorgeous country.

I'm digging the book so far, but I totally enjoy all things zombie so it's not shocking.

I want to go home... (Typical American!)
I only remember chasing the sheep when I visited when I was six.
My family still owns land there. My brother visits our cousins often.
One of aunts has a pet fox that lives in the house. But the cat and dog live outside of course!

*I want to go!*

There are sheep and cows pretty much every where you look! If your family still owns land there, you have no reason not to go!

beautiful pictures! i love the one of the rhino because it's just staring at those folks off in the distance thinking: puny picket fence. i could render that useless w/a sneeze.

my favorite is the first photo of the ridgeline of trees.

I knew the rhino was huge, but I didn't realize the magnitude of just how huge it was until I looked at that pic.

The first photo is my favorite too; that's why it's first. It was at the top of Blarney Castle (right after I kissed the stone) when I took that shot.

That was in a out of the way cemetery in a small town we were passing through. I thought it was such a neat thing to leave for one's loved one.

I'm liking it, but it is a weird narrative style compared to most books. It wasn't easy for my mind to get into it because I had been reading The Historian and vampires before I started...
