1) Roman Polanski. Seriously, why is anyone lining up to defend this guy? Yes, he's made some good movies. Yes, he had a profoundly messed-up childhood. Neither of these things mitigates the fact that he a) drugged and raped a 13-year-old girl, and b) fled the country to escape being punished for it.
