...and I'm pretty sure that there aren't any "third chances" waiting for me this time. Though I've endured a number of changes recently, this one is going to be harder than most. I've lost someone close to me whom I will miss, and she'll be impossible to replace.

I knew people in class, saw the same people in a number of classes, but didn't have the same kind of bond with them that I do with the people in my classes now. So last week I'm in the middle of doing something with my computer which calls for it to make sounds of some form (which is pretty much anything I do at all with it) when I heard a soft *pop* and the sound went dead. ...is quite different now than it was before. Graduate school is exhausting and pretty stressful, but ultimately I'm enjoying the hell out of it. Let it be known that I'm putting in a LOT more time to my "job" now than I was when I was working a 40-hour week. I've really caught the poker bug recently. The fact that I seem to make a profit on most of the poker nights I play is probably why I still have it. Ever since I heard that "Clerks II" was official and that it would be a real movie, I've been curious about it. I was partially afraid that it would just be trying to relive the glory of the original and it appears that those fears have been confirmed.

What a shame.

Yes, now that I'm a huge celebrity (you'll have to scroll down a bit to see what I mean), I'm sure you'll all be lining up to hang out with me. I just hope I can fit everybody in, as I'm a busy man...
