Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings concert tonight!! It's going to be awesome. From what I've heard, Sharon Jones is wonderful live. Even though it's at Louie's which in my past experience has had dubious sound quality.

Vegetarianism in the Prairie Provinces:
It's really depressing reading over old Prairie Vegan posts about Saskatoon. It's true that Saskatoon is a very vegan-unfriendly city, and this also applies to vegetarians. Reading the old posts on this blogs reads true to my experiences. You ask the server if the item contains X(meat, dairy, animal products, honey, etc), they tell you no. A week ( Read more... ) -

Spent my anniversary hiking up at Waskesiu. I was breaking in my new boots. They need some work, yet. We saw a Great Blue Heron, three beavers - they were unusually active and approachable, various waterfowl and sundry elk and deer. So, Conservative majority. I don't know what to do. I'd move, but where to? I just don't see the point of anything right now. I guess I should mention - I get very emotional about facing The Worst Possible Result, and this is it. 2011 Election
So far, this has been an incredibly exciting election. Even if the Conservatives do get in again (boo, hiss!!), Canadian politics will have undergone dramatic changes.
