I have noticed that I start picking up accents of the area I'm spending time in, within a few days of being there. I'm not conscious of it, it just happens, and is usually pointed out to me. Maybe it's just our brains being highly adaptable. :)

I did pretty much the same thing living in Jamaica -- I developed a Jamaican accent and spoke at machine-gun velocity.

Wow, Jamaica never been there, would love to go. A Jamaican accent sounds funny coming from a white person, are you white? I am so I can imagine me speaking all Jamaican, pretty cool!

Believe it or not, I do that too and I haven't traveled or lived in as many varied places as you have. I think it has to do with your "ear" and how much of an auditory learner you are.

When I get drunk I start speaking gibberish but sounding like different languages. For example I immitate french, chinese, russian, italian and arabic. People actually think I speak those languages unless I come up to someone who's native language I am immitating, then I just run away embarrased!! :)
