The Garden, a year later

rhodielady_47  challenged me to write a follow-up to my garden post of last March 28th, "A Good Day in the Garden",  chronicaling changes to the garden over the past year. While thunderstorms kept me mostly out of the garden today, I did spend yesterday out there, and came back with some observations.

:) For you, there will be pictures; I'm just waiting until stuff is slightly less brown. It really was a very bad winter down here.

By the way DONT try Oriental Limelight Artemesia its HELL to get out of a flower bed.

I had heard that somewhere before, and was wise enough not to go that route. I do have a lovely variegated Artemesia, but it's container grown for that reason.

i think i am living vicariously through your gardening :)
only having a balcony is less than optimal. i still have fun with it though.
i'm cheering on your challenged plants, and visualizing tea and chats in the copious free time ;)

I was a balcony gardener for years when I was single. It's not optimal but being surrounded by plants was still serene.

I shall have to post pictures of my favorite chair so you can put yourself there, with a favored tea or libation, and imagine the scent of the blossoms, the hum of the bees, and the feel of the sun on your face. :)
