Guess what I did for Valentine's Day!

I made a heart out of cardboard, decorated it with fake flowers and sequins. Then I hung it up on my door so that my neighbours could see it.

If that silly thing makes them smile, I've accomplished what I set out to do.

I grew up with Jeremy Brett being The Sherlock Holmes. And that means no, I repeat, no deerstalker. It also means a Dr Watson who is a capable character and not a bumbling doofus ( Read more... )

To-day is Father's Day here in Sweden. It was moved here from its original date because there's not much fun in November. Another festive day couldn't hurt at this time of the year.

My sister gave Dad a card she and made herself and I just congratulated him.

I'm working on the second chapter of my moomin story. About halfway done.

On this day in 1632, king Gustavus Adolphus was shot and killed at the battle of Lützen.

Nowadays we conmemorate this by eating a pastry named after him.

At least I did.
