I, too, lament the leaching of quality slack time to the siren-call of Facebook's shallowness. See, updating LJ demands of you minimal coherent thought and the ability to form sentences - no such demands are made by shiny facebook, where you can 'link' to all your friends and not have to worry about actually interacting with them! :P
