Oh this is unsettling as a nightmare, but I'm glad Jordan was able to at least find some peace there. It sounds like at the end of her dream she was able to pass into some sort of lucid dream state, where she could steer the events to go in a more positive way, at least that's what it sounds to me as it sometimes happens to me.
