Today we have a snow day. Monday we had a late start, Tuesday was normal, and Wed is a snow day. I would rather have a late start, because now we have to make up this day at some point in the year. I decorated the apartment last week, slowly. Today I put up the tree and put Kevin's Christmas presents under it. It looks beautiful. I love our collection of second hand decorations that fit into just one box. I love our little 3 foot tree left over from the wedding. I love that our cat seems to think the tree is her personal toy. I am finished with conferences! The most tiring time of the year for me is complete. Too bad this year, it came with a cold. Conferences are next week, report cards are due on Monday. I decided to take last weekend and have no life. It worked. I finished all report cards and conference prep, not to mention prep for the classroom next week. Now I can have a totally relaxing, care-free weekend. This week, we've had three half days. Wed, Thurs, and Fri. Hell yes. It has totally rocked my face off.
