Computer Class

Here I sit in this dumbass computer class. Mrs. Parker going on and on in mindless, never-ending babble. What's really funny is that this class actually counts as an honors class, even though it's incredibly simple and easy and my teacher doesn't know shit. She only knows what's in the curriculum. She's learning along with us. Wow...what a sad ( Read more... )

ha- i had Mrs. Parker my freshman year when i took keyboarding. you're lucky- the computer didn't have the internet when i was in that class. but we just watched movies like "you got mail" and "hackers" the whole time.

ha, actually, we still watch movies a bunch in there. In Computer Applications I and II we did a bunch anyway at least, and I wouldn't be surprised if we did again in this class because we always had to watch movies when people were testing on the computers and everything, which will happen again this semester I assume. But yeah, we've watched Hackers and You've Got Mail among many others in the previous to Computer apps classes too. The class I'm now is E-Commerce I, which is essentially Computer Applications III by the way.

school's a bummer man. Hopefully college will be more focused on actual education as opposed to say... being a testing site and a place to trap teenage drug dealers.

yeah college sucks too. instead of trapping said teenage drug dealers, they are set in an environment of rebellion against their parents, or any other "role-model" figure. everything becomes optional instead of mandatory, more like real life i suppose, but who wants that.

but regardless of the woes of adolescence, yeah college isnt really a place you go to learn anymore, and that makes me sad. if it was about learning, hey i might be there now.

and yea i totally had ms parker as a home room teacher, one time i just sort of stayed there one whole day, back in the day. she didnt even realise i was there until the bell rang for getting out of school. i totally owned minesweeper.
