(I'm sure there was plenty likeable about it, but my sister and I got on some weird kick when we were kids about what was a BOY cartoon and what was a GIRL cartoon, and we just hated the former. David the Gnome wasn't "pretty" enough, I guess. The weird thing is, this only applied to cartoons. We were rabid tomboys in many other aspects.)
