And really, what the hell would you DO with a bin Laden who was captured alive? Send him to Gitmo? Waterboard him? Have a civilian trial? Then put him in prison? Where?
The only thing they could have done was kill him. People may not like it, but none of the other options were better.
My personal religious code is influenced by the ancient Jewish dictum that it's impious to rejoice even over the death of a wicked man.
But I didn't live in New York when the towers came down. I didn't live in DC when the Pentagon was slammed. I'd have to walk a LONG FUCKING WAY before I'd judge people who did.
Honestly, keebus argh. This whole thing is making me feel ancient.
People are entitled to feel however they want about it! This is a deeply emotional, and for some people, personal issue. I might not feel the same way but fuck if I'm going to get holier than thou and tell someone that they're immoral for being glad he's dead. Argh.
The thing that amazes me about Glee, especially coming from an non-watcher's perspective, is that it seems like everyone who watches the show is continually disappointed by it.
And yet it hasn't turned into the hate-fest that SGA did.
You already know how I feel about OBL, so I'm just going to say "right on, sister-friend".
I have no explanation for the Glee thing. It both makes me incredibly happy to watch while I'm watching it, and then astounded and irritated after I've had time to think about it for a while. The only thing I can think of is that it's not sci-fi like SGA was, and sci-fi fans are...different.

Hahaha, see, I solve that problem by just not thinking about it too hard afterwards. I enjoy it while I'm watching, for what it is, and then I move on and try not to put too much thought into it.
I think that works for me because it's not formatted like a "real" show. If this was a real show, like Lost or Buffy or Fringe or something like that, where the whole point is to follow the characters and their development, I'd be PISSED! I might even stop watching. But that's not really the point of Glee, is it?
I think I'd have an easier time taking it lightly if they weren't always trying to tackle such weighty issues like bullying, sexuality, teen pregnancy, etc. It's like, you can't have it both ways. You can't take on such serious topics and then treat them flippantly, you know?
I am not sure that the writers realize that no one cares about the Quinn/Finn/Rachel triangle or anything with Will that doesn't involve Sue. I wish they would get that. Also, Sam Gets a Storyline. That is weird and sort of "off."
I thought the music was great and the Santana/Brittany will keep me coming back.
For some reason, even though she is cute and quirky and has a disability, Emma is not a sympathetic character. She is just pathetic. I honestly liked Terri better I think (well, in retrospect anyway).
Santana/Brittany is the only storyline that has any potential to be unpredictable and interesting. I'm totally curious to see where it goes.
