When saucydiva first presented me with this idea, I had an immediate vision of what I wanted to do, and just about died of excitement.  Whether I lived up to that vision is another story, but there was no avoiding referencing THE GOLDEN AGE OF FAIRY PAINTINGS.

I just want to say that I loved your illustrations for this! The atmosphere you were evoking really came through beautifully; even before reading this entry and learning a bit about the style of the paintings you drew upon, I remember feeling a sense of the romantic and magical just by looking at your illustrations. Which is pretty incredible considering that you substituted raccoons for faeries.
