I bought a king cake tonight for school tomorrow. Last year the plastic baby frightened a few of them.

I'm looking very much forward to the same reaction this year.

I like your scrolling message. It's nifty.

Hee. That plastic baby is a bit scary. And naked.

My sister has made naked baby earrings out of two of them for wearing as high fashion during Mardi Gras. Yes, she's just that tacky. And she's not even in a trailer.

Does the scrolling message appear in larger, purple font? It's supposed to, and looks that way on the preview, but is small, boring text on My Journal page.

Did you get any sleep? The bologna-talk was making me quite nervous!

Good news re your house. Happy Mardi Gras. I saw a program last week on southern music and its roots in NO, and I totally thought of you.

Thanks - this house stuff is getting very tedious but at least I'm beginning to see a light at the end of the proverbial tunnel.

Aw, good ole southern music. Makes me ready for the Jazz Fest to come (last weekend in April, first weekend in May).

Happy Mardi Gras, Crash!

I'll tipple a few for you tonight.

Crap! Does that mean I have to give up something tomorrow?

Maybe hope that this house will ever sell.

*sighs* But, not too heavily, since your woes are so much more profound!

Good luck with the house. Your brother sounds like a good man. We miss you around these here parts.

New SPN tonight, if you can get it. Otherwise, you know I'll find a way to send it on to you!

Dude. I figured I've done my penance, and then some, for the past 6 months, so the hell I'm giving anything else up for Lent!

I'm totally psyched about the new SPN tonight and hope to be able to see it. This will be the first actual episode I watch on TV (thanks again for the loan of the DVDs)The cable is working (for now) and I can get WB. Would you believe that the hotels don't offer WB? So, when I'm out of town (every week), even though I have TV, I still haven't been able to see the show! But, since it's Mardi Gras and I'm home (finally), I plan to actually see an episode!

'She's dead'
'No I'm not.'....'I got better.'

Glad to see you here, crash! Great news about the house. I had a moment thinking of you upon my return from vacation---on our shuttle was a professor from Loyola---a funny geeky guy named Peter Burns. He was talking all about N.O. and Katrina and the non-rebuilding. I remembered your comments about the corruption of the city gov't and wanted to question him, but it was 1 AM and I wasn't thinking clearly!

Yes, yes, yes! That's exactly the quote I had in mind!

Aw, it's a shame you didn't engage in a bit of dialog with geeky professor. I'm sure he would have loved the exchange.

House...looking like progress has been made, even today (especially after a bottle of champagne).

Yipee Skippy for crash!

No, really, I wanted to sleep so talking politics was out of the question, but yes, it might have proved interesting.
