Ahh...dead things to lighten my mood
I went to my first-ever Alamo Drafthouse "Quote along" last night--The Army of Darkness directed by Sam Raimi and starring the eternally under-rated Bruce Campbell. My wife commented that I sounded a lot happier afterwards. I'm sure the two pints of Shiner helped, too, but the fun of seeing a cult classic movie at the Alamo was balm for my soul. All the extra classes and some extra hours at work are starting to catch up with me. I got to work this morning and felt like I'd already been here 8 hours. Raptors over Austin
As I was driving back to work downtown on Monday, I saw two hawks circling around near the north side of the 1st Street/Guadalupe Ave bridge. I assume they are a mating pair since they were in such close proximity to each other.

I Passed!
The Tai Chi Black Sash test ended up being closer to five hours than the scheduled four, but I and my twelve classmates passed. I've been dragging ass for two days--stairs have been a whole new kind of fun since Sunday evening.
