Malekum salam! I'm having an INCREDIBLE TRIP so far. The people in the villages are some of the most loving people I have ever met. Today it was over 112 degrees. But things are good and I'm feeling fine. Gotta go, bye all.

I am in such extreme pain right now. Let me explain. I had a room to myself and I left the window open to have a nice breeze while falling asleep. After several hours at about two in the morning I felt something move against my leg. I jerked back but then felt a sharp stinging sensation just below my knee. We've had almost no downtime at all; most of us haven't slept in over twenty-four hours. Madrid was definitely worth it though; it's a beautiful city. Black metal balconies on every window draped in colorful flowers and long vines compliment the ornate architectiture throughout the entire city. Ran well on Friday, not much competition there though. Finished comfortably in first with a time of 4:39.8. Second was about 4:55 or something like that. I'm satisfied, though I probably could have ran faster if I wasn't a half lap ahead of everyone; I slowed down quite a bit the second half.
