It's movie recommendation time!
John and I watched Stay a couple of nights ago.
If you like absolutely gorgeous, arthouse, mindfuck movies, I highly recommend it.
It's one of those movies where you're constantly saying, "What is going on!?" but it's also one of those movies where that fact doesn't bother you, because your heart's continually in

Happy birthday to you!
I watched that movie "Stay". I have to ask .... what was up with Ewan McGregor's clothes? I was laughing at the high water pants and the argyle sweater that looked like he saved it from Jr.High. I imagine it was all part of the illusion and means ... something?
Hope you had a fun birthday and hopefully you will be able to make it down when Ali and the baby come in October.

*giggles* John said the same thing about the clothing. I was too overawed by his penultimate attractiveness to be too bothered by it- I thought the erratic clothing (especially with the sweater with the random stripes on the arm) kind of, like you said, built into the whole illusion. I'm hard pressed to think of anything that Ewan McGregor wouldn't look sexy in, though. (Especially in Trainspotting where he wears nothing at all for a scene...) Maybe rotten banana peels. That would neutralize the sexy.
I would love, love, love to come see you guys in October! I do have Columbus Day off from school- would Ali be around then??

She'll be here from 10/20 to 11/10 so she'll miss that particular holiday. Maybe we can find an "in-between" place to meet for the day....we'll have to figure something out :)
