My mom is seriously considering buying me a car.

She is convinced that an SUV is safer.

I cannot drive another SUV, this is ridiculous.

I am asking, now, for a collective effort in helping me find something to convince her.

Please. Save the world.

-Ford Foci fall apart easily and they're kind of small and unsafe. go for a midsize car. The best cars for younger drivers in New England are those that arent too big or too small and that dont have tooo tooo much power. Also All Wheel Drive helps. and Volvos are too parenty. Here's a list of cars:
-Any Subaru, cept for the Baja...and the SUVs seems you hate em. wouldnt disagree with you
-Ford Fusion (i think it has all wheel drive available now...it might be coming out later im not sure ill check up on that)But its alot chrome :-)
-Accord or Camry-Solid Cars
-Basically its all up to budget...used cars>are more complicated to talk about.

though less tangible, the risk to your future health is probably greater if the world doesn't start taking significant steps away from fossil fuels than if you're in a normal-sized car by a significant amount. At any rate, an SUV increases your chances of surviving an accident to some minimal degree but probably increases the likelihood that you'll get into one in the first place too a little bit, since they are more prone to roll overs and lend themselves to agressive driving.

plus, you run the risk of being fire-bombed by eco-terrorists :)
