Pierogi Fest is the new OK Go concert.  For three years now, Cait and I have been trying to see OK Go in concert to no avail.  Either the show is 18 and over or 21 and over and we couldn't get in or we were out of town.  This time, they were playing Lollapalooza and I think I speak for both of us when I say there is no way I could forgive myself ( Read more... )

I just got back from a day out with Angela and Stephanie and our niece Danielle.  We went to see out nephew DJ's baseball game and then kidnapped Danielle and took her shopping.  His game was supposed to have a game at Marian, but it was moved to HoChunk sports complex in Lynnwood.  He hit a home run and was MVP of the game; unfortunately, they ( Read more... )

My whole year is packed into boxes--all the cards and signs, the pictures and magazines clippings.  Our walls are completely, pathetically naked, and the door is stripped of all its color revealing its depressing gray.  This is a bittersweet ending--I'm thrilled to go home and relax over summer, but I'm going to miss all my friends.  Katie left ( Read more... )

That's right--they're haunting me.  I took the test today and it was like I wasn't even in that class all semester.  The test was completely and utterly foreign to me, like on the first day of class.  All I needed was an 80, but now I'll be lucky if I get that.  I came back and no one was here to comfort me.  Bonnie and Bridget went to get slurpees ( Read more... )
