I just got back from the vet. I had to go and have my dog Chief put down. I got that mutt when he was 8 weeks old and I am pretty tore up right now. He hadn't been eating and for the last few days couldn't even lay down because he couldn't breathe if he wasn't standing up. It was time but it still sucks major ass. Putting an animal down is always a difficult experience. I am so sorry you had to go through that, sweetie. I am really glad to see you posting again, though. <3

Poor Chief, and poor Charlie. I'm so sorry for you. *hugs him a lot, cries* That's the worst thing about owning pets; you know what you have to do, but it's so very hard. I wish I could do or say something to make it better, but I think only time and the love of your friends/family can do that. Chief sounds like a wonderful friend. At least you have happy memories. Fred and I still talk about Ethel (our basset hound, who we had to have put down five years ago at the ripe old age of 16). After you've done some grieving, you may be able to start thinking mostly of the good times instead of this sadness. *cuddles Chas a lot*
