After Challenge 2. The following is the scoreboard after challenge 2. If you did not turn in an entry for the challenge, you got the lowest point total possible, which is 1. (Judges vote on a scale from 1 to 10, and then your score is an average of the total.) Every week, your average points are totaled and then added to your previous week's total

I'm still not entirely clear on how the scoring rewards work. I seem to recall a post where it's added into your score as a 10.0 and then averaged, but is that the overall score, or the score for just one event?

Maybe an example would help clarify things...

it would apply to the last particular challenge that took place.

example. there's 11 possible judge scores. the sum is. say. 77 for an average of 7.

now lets say you have 2 scoring rewards and would rather use them now. each scoring reward equals a judge score of 10. so now in using them, now your score would be 97 from 13 judges, upping the average to 7.5.

it may be a half a point, or even a quarter. but it could help. i dunno. maybe it could be more beneficial to replace, say, the highest non-scores to 10 instead. I think it drives up the average more the previous way.

but that's a working example of how it works. the overall score is just the sum of your per-challenge scores.
