All I've bought on cyber Monday this year is a hard drive for my kid to back up her new laptop. I figured she writes fanfiction and we all know the horror of losing a story, so she could use something for backups.

That's a good idea. I've got a hard-drive, too. I've lost stuff before, and it's horrible.

Businesses can't pass up a chance to generate excitement over nothing. Frankly, I stayed out of the stores all weekend, and I won't be shopping online today.

Besides, you can find better deals when you shop last minute.

That's true. I tend to find the best deals when I don't plan on shopping. I just end up shopping randomly. I guess it's because I'm not actively looking for the deals, so they just. . . happen. Lol.

OMG I just came here and saw your cute layout XD

Honestly, I've only known Black Friday as Friday the 13th. It wasn't until last year or the year before last that I caught on the (new???) meaning of Black Friday. And was thinking back then "WTH? It's not even the 13th on a Friday, why are they calling it Black Friday?"

I have never heard of Cyber Monday either. Though I admit it was coincidence that I actually bought something online today, heh. But it wasn't stated anywhere that it was some other special deal. *shrug*

I think I thought the same. It sounds like a creepy Friday. Several years back, I asked what it actually was, and one of my friends explained. I was like. . O_O . . .I see. . . xD.

edit: My first thought on "Cyber Monday" was a day reserved for cyber sex. O_O
