"It's my birthday and I'll run if i want to" LOL suddenly thought of this song (but it's crying, not running).
I actually completed a half marathon! With time to spare! The run was around the Hong Kong Disneyland area. It wasn't the Disney Run though.

Nope, I didn't go to any parties or countdowns. This year they've changed a bit and the fireworks are over in Cotai side instead of Peninsula side. In any case, I registered to a New Year Eve's Run and there I was, went there straight after work! (The building in the far end is my work location now).

It's a series of holidays these days, but surprisingly we aren't exactly as busy as previous Christmas. Friday was the "Macau Handover" so it was a holiday. I made a quick trip to Hong Kong to pick up my running pack for the half marathon next month. I'm a bit nervous as I'm seriously under-prepared. But we'll see. So, I don't know if this is a very... Portuguese/Latin(?) thing but I remember my mom being really big on saints. When I got my first car she forced me to put a charm she bought, of "São Cristovão" (St Christopher I guess), patron saint of cars and whatnot. My workplace is now having a Peanuts crossover. The whole property is full of.... Woodstocks! LOL! Not Snoopy!  Yes, we have a few Snoopys here and there, in the lobby(ies), and one or two on the outside fountain and signage.

I don't really listen to Cantopop music as... I never quite liked them. My impression of Cantopop was more it was "merely subbing Jpop". I distinctively remember an artist saying how he created a piece of music from scratch, and when he sang it, it was simply just a Cantonese version of a Japanese anime side character "character image" song (a song ( Read more... )
