so my complant...my programing teacher took points off when i wote the date like this.... 16 Febuary 2006! pretty mad about that so i did tell her that it was right and we americans are wrong! she didnt believe me. so i gave up when no one else in my class agreed...kinda made me upset ( Read more... )

Fear not. Your friend the English major/ninja has come to the rescue. According to the MLA (that's the modern language association, but no doubt you are familiar with our beloved MLA) in properly formatted papers the date is presented as Day Month Year. So while it is not the style colloquially preferred by Americans, that technically was the correct way of presenting the date.

But just remember that if you want to be a technically correct way of presenting the date, then you can't be a fruit of the spirit.

And someone took my chair in class today.
So I feel ya there.
