Boy is getting a Birthday lunch, and part of his present is Dad letting him drive them there.

A chicken turned up dead earlier today. One of the hens we got from the neighbor who moved away last year. There was no obvious physical trauma, so I don't know the cause. I was in the grocery store today when a lady with four kids passed by me. One of the kids, maybe 8 yrs old, was complaining that a thing she wanted was usually on the shelves right in that area. The mother responded that it sure was but you know who's America it is.
