"Sometimes, open source really works."

Woah! What's that supposed to mean?

Uh, nothing bad. I guess the emphasis is more on "really" than "sometimes," and a "well" could easily go in after "works." I mean, there are situations where open source software is really buggy (like a bunch of the programs I downloaded for Linux and had to root through before I found one I liked.) But other times it's vastly better than or at least comparable to the proprietary competition (Firefox, Thunderbird, Ubuntu (getting there), Pidgin, Rhythmbox, Compiz, gxine.) This is a case of the latter.

Okay. When I read it, it came across as a sort of, "Well whaddya know! Open source actually didn't screw up this time around!" Sorry!

I'm with ya, Colin! Those open-source monkeys just don't get it half the time, and...

Wait ... what does that say?

Oh.

Oh, uh ... never mind.
