Having an iPhone is a boon to my internal library of mostly-useless information. Whenever I'm curious about something, I open up the Wikiamo application, which is a browser used specifically for Wikipedia articles.

Did you know that golf balls typically have a concave-up trajectory due to rotational Magnus forces (think curve-ball), and that these forces allow the balls to fly significantly further than if they weren't rotating?
