I've been thinking about the Superbowl, and it just seems completely absurd to me. How did a sports event become ... this? Last year, about 140 million people in the US watched the game. 140 MILLION! Yet for many people, it's the only football game they watch all year. For the last three years my friends at school and I have largely ignored it

I watched a recent episode of The Simpsons on hulu, and they used the full introduction. This highlights the changes that have happened to the animation of the show. It looks so sterile and soulless compared to '90s Simpsons. That said, this particular episode got a couple laughs out of me. I think everyone I know who's a fan of the earlier

Ok, I didn't know about this particular Windows tweak until today, but it's awesome. For some reason Firefox has been taking a ridiculously long time to load when I start it up (sometimes 5 seconds, usually around 30 seconds, occasionally upwards of 45 seconds

I think the Motorola Aura basically sums up my general opinion of the quality of cell phones out there. So much flash and yet so little function (certain smartphones excluded of course.) My current phone has so many features that I can't imagine anyone would take pleasure in using namely

It seems like it's been a while since xkcd has done a strip only the science nerds will truly appreciate at first glance (i.e. sudo make me a sandiwch, centrifugal force, kepler sweeps out the same area every night etc.)
It feels so much like Oblivion. Now, I liked Oblivion, but I stopped playing it because I got tired of it. That same feeling is carrying over to Fallout 3
