So apparently I have no problem driving long distances. Today I did the drive home in 12.5 hours with two stops totaling about 15-20 minutes. And I didn't even really get bored or tired. Maybe I should be an endurance race car driver. That would be sweet ( Read more... )

They Might Be Giants music accounts for 2.41% of the data stored on my hard drive. The Beatles account for 1.43%. This is nothing particularly new, it just occurred to me a minute ago.

I was just invited to the group "15,000,000 for lower gas prices" on Facebook.

I kind of feel like posting this in the group photo album. Even detractors of the group are pretty misguided about why gas prices are rising.

It seems like every web app I come across is in beta. Firefox extensions, facebook apps, PMOG, even Gmail (which is better than any non-beta web-based email client.) Unless you're going to make some big release at some point it doesn't make much sense to stay in beta ( Read more... )

So, it looks like I'll be leaving my name on a plaque at Swarthmore College, which is funny because that probably won't happen at Haverford. My group won the bridge design competition for the intro engineering course I took this semester. The bridge weighed 30 grams and withstood a load of 242 lbs, which is 3,659 times its weight.
