I got a C+ on my Philosophy of Language paper. I knew it wasn't gonna be great, and all the problems she pointed out were actually there, I don't deny that, BUT... I can see the pencil marks underneath the C+ that say B-!!! Why? Would it hurt her to just leave the B-? How was she so sure that I deserved a C+ and not a B-... More and more I'm learning that whenever I think on any extreme, it's always wrong. Partially right, but still never the ultimate solution. It's hard to answer an extreme with a compromise, because the person with the extreme point of view just does not see anything beyond their thoughts and feelings at the time.
