It's getting a hell of a lot better fast now though. Now that the federal govt finally got their asses in gear. What made no sense to me was the Russia offered us a ton of choppers to use FOR FREE. Guess what, we didn't take them up on thier offer.
Ya, the media and the govt kinda is pissing me off right now (as if you couldn't tell). They are calling the people in Louisiana "Refugees". Aren't refugess ussually immigrants or aliens being held captive on foriegn soil?

BTW Mike, gas prices are going to drop more probally. the mid east and some other countries dipped into their federal oil reserves and are giving us like some 60 million barrels or oil. I think that was what it was. Most of that oil will probally stay in the south though. But there are 2 problems. 1, where are we going to store it and 2, how are we going to refine it when almost all of the oil refinerys were hit by Katrina.

Sorry about the rant in ur journal lol.

you've brought up some really good points, I haven't even heard about the Russian dealio. That's incredibly dumb of our government to do that. I wasnt expecting the middle eastern nations to do that for us, though. As far as I know, us and them aren't on the best terms.

(They are calling the people in Louisiana "Refugees") ok, refugees are people who are fleeing because of natural disasters or war... does this seem like a natural disaster?
and there plenty of places to refine the oil... having a boost can do nothing but help the economy... worst comes to worst... we refine out of the country

you people are morons. gas prices should be astronomical. they should have been astronomical right from the moment we realized that it's a non-renewable energy source. they shouls be astronbomical and they SHOULD still be rising. we waste it all just because we've been taught that it won't cost us shit to do it. we're screwing over the environment for nothing. it costs us nothing compaired to what it should be costing. it should cost a fortune. then we'd all be driving hondas and hybrids and alaska wouldn't be fucked and the government would have some real money to spend on preservation.
