As I wake up the sound I hear is not one I am happy to hear. It is raining outside and today of all days is not a good day to have to go out and deal with life

I am so sorry you went through that. I am glad you survived to tell the tale.
When I hear of a person who really did try to kill themselves I feel for them in a deep way that only a person who completely hates themselves and life can know.
That line hit me where I live, because I feel the same way. I hear a lot of people say suicide is selfish, but when you've really considered it and been in that place, you just feel horrible for the person because you know what it took to get them to that point.
The strength in this entry is palpable, and fills me with joy.
Good for you for speaking up to your uncle! I'm so glad you were able to do so, and that it stopped things. (It did, yes?)
Your mental snapshot of the sunset is a lovely unifying force for the last part of this entry. Just a little bit of writing critique: Some of the details earlier in this piece are extraneous, and take away from the punch the rest of the writing has.
Excellent job, though...as I said above, the strength and determination really shine through.
You've got that right. The day on the bridge decided that for sure. Yes, there are hard times and so on but being a surviver is what makes me get up every single day. And a hungry brewd of cats and my dog.

That day on the bridge started a long road of healing.
