It never happens when I'm expecting it to. It's always insidious, a shock, out of the clear blue nowhere. I think that's because I spend so much time doing everything I can to guard against it, so my instincts usually tell me when I'm not safe enough to let my guard down ( Read more... )

*HUGS* and Kudos for writing this..surely needs to be shared...most of times we end up being polite (i am guilty of that) but such asshats do need a constant talking down.

I really loved this, especially the "I bet you didn't know that..." part - I have a disabled child in my family, and I'm often taking care of her, and I absolutely despise the looks I get when she acts out in public. I want to stop every time and give them the "I bet you have no idea" conversation. Heh.
