When I was younger, I used to love finding spare change in old pockets and couch cushions. I thought of it as a bonus on my allowance, and would usually spend it on something frivolous but eminently enjoyable. A few years ago, when Mothra was still DJ'ing but on the way towards retiring, I was out at a night and he put on George Michael's "Father Figure"

Not the kind of thing that you'd play at a goth night, either, but definitely the kind of thing you'd play for patrons who are pushing past thirtysomething and can indulge in a bit of nostalgia. Also, you know, if I wanted to scratch that particular itch, there were probably a few 80s and 90s nights that catered to it specifically, yet there is something rather serendipitous about having it come up in an unlikely but perfect moment.

J and I had to relieve our respective significant others at the end of your first set. They were both on door duty at the time and both litterally bouncing in place to dance to what was being played :)
