I had another day experimenting with riding in obviously female work clothes -- I rode to the most congested part of Philadelphia (Chinatown) in a bright pink helmet, balaclava, lobster gloves, and a skirt, winter coat, and red flats on my over-sized red mixte sitting bolt upright. I'm not even sure I should complain; I should just work like a zombie and stay laser focused so I don't get overwhelmed. I have a lot to do over the next 2 days. But my MRI results came back from the bike accident I had on the 24th and it turns out that my ACL is torn. I really, really, really don't want to deal with surgery. I hope my friend realized that me playfully nagging him during the months we worked together to eat better and take better care of himself meant that I cared about him, on a basic human level. Even though it ultimately didn’t make a difference.
